H2Run Privacy Policy
Effective November 6, 2026
This policy explains how H2Run, made by MoosePeak, handles your information on iPhone and Apple Watch.
The short version
H2Run has no accounts, ads, or analytics. MoosePeak does not receive your hydration history or any other personal data. H2Run keeps your preferences and a working copy of your log on your devices, and saves your drinks to Apple Health with your permission.
What the app stores
H2Run stores the following on your device: your age, weight, daily goal, drinks, daily history, units, bottle size, reminder setting, and pending Apple Health updates. Your iPhone and Apple Watch share drink logs, goals, units, and bottle size directly with each other through Apple's Watch Connectivity. Your age and weight stay on your iPhone.
Storage and Apple Health sync
H2Run does not run its own servers or a separate cloud backup, and it does not upload your hydration log or history to iCloud or any other server. Apple Health may sync its data through your Apple Account if you turn on Health in iCloud settings. Apple controls that service.
Apple Health
With your permission, H2Run:
• saves the water you log to Apple Health,
• reads back water samples that H2Run saved earlier, to restore its history, and
• reads today's workouts to estimate your daily goal.
H2Run does not import water entries from other apps. H2Run does not sell Health data, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising or marketing. A local cache and retry queue let the app work offline. You can manage H2Run's access at any time in the Health app under Sharing > Apps and Services.
Location and weather
With your permission, H2Run uses your location while the app is open to read your altitude and to ask Apple Weather for the current temperature. Your location is sent to Apple Weather only to get that reading, and H2Run does not keep your coordinates. It stores only the last altitude and temperature on your device to estimate your goal. You can turn this off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
Notifications
If you turn on gentle reminders, they're scheduled on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to a server.
Widgets, complications, and Siri
H2Run's widgets, Apple Watch complications, and Siri or Shortcuts actions read your progress from storage on your device. They don't send it to MoosePeak. Any information shown in a widget may be visible on your Lock Screen or watch face, depending on your device settings.
Deleting your data
Delete H2Run from your iPhone and Apple Watch to remove the app's local data. Some shared data may remain while a related H2Run widget or extension is still installed. Water samples already saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app. If you reinstall H2Run and grant Health access again, it can restore its available water samples from Health. Deleting the app cancels any Health updates still waiting to sync.
Children
H2Run isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version and its effective date will be posted on this page and in the app.
